PRAYER POINTS FOR WAR WITH IRAN -- 6/12/25

Pray for divine wisdom. Pray that God would grant Israel’s leaders with divine wisdom. Pray that He would show them how to defeat Iran and all their enemies and how to protect their people. Above all, pray that Israel’s leaders would seek Him for guidance and fear the Lord.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!” Psalm 111:10 ESV

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”

Psalm 20:7 ESV

Pray for confusion in the enemy’s camp. As Iran and its terror allies plan more attacks on Israel, pray that they would be met with confusion. Pray that the spirit of the Lord would disrupt their plans just as He did for Israel’s enemies in the Old Testament, and that all their attacks would come to nothing.

“I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.” Exodus 23:27 ESV

Pray for Israel’s allies. Many nations have turned their backs on Israel over the war in Gaza. Most recently Canada, France, and the UK that sent an open letter to Israel demanding an immediate cease fire, unconditional withdrawal from Gaza, and open channels for additional humanitarian aid. These nations and more are cursing Israel and becoming goat nations. Pray that as Iran attacks Israel the nations of the world would be united behind God’s people. Pray especially that America would support Israel in its time of need.

“I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel,”

Joel 3:2 ESV

“I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 ESV

Pray for salvation. Neither the Jewish people nor the Arabs who call for their destruction know the Lord Jesus Christ, salvation is found  only through the Messiah and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray that the leaders of Israel and Iran would radically encounter Him.
