Month of Iyar
This is the Month of transition and connection in Exodus 13-19. (Counting of the Omer – between Passover and Pentecost; from Egypt to Mount Sinai)
I believe even as we pray tonight Israel is in a time of great transition. No longer slaves in Egypt but haven’t arrived in the Promised Land yet as they are in the wilderness. Leading them out of Egypt God is showing himself as Jehovah Jireh by parting the Red Sea, in the wilderness turning bitter water into sweet water. Manna from heaven. Quail for meat. Cloud by day and fire by night. He has Moses Strike the Rock at Horeb and water came forth. Also Showing himself as Jehovah Rapha- their healer “I will put none of these diseases on you that I have put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord your healer.” Exodus 15:26.

Pray For An End to the Unjust Paying of Tribute to Islamic Oppressors & Opening of the Strait of Hormuz
For Revelation and Enlightenment to the Motivations of Iranian Jihadists (history repeating itself).The tax compelled by Muslim rulers on Christians and other non-Muslim subjects living under Islamic law is called jizya. This tax was a poll tax, often considered a tribute for protection and a sign of submission. People who paid this to live under Muslim rule were known as dhimmi or ahl al-dhimma. (Mali, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria under ISIS).
Historically, jizya was a way to "humble" non-Muslims and show they were subjects of the state. Critics argue these tolls serve a similar purpose: forcing Western powers and their allies to acknowledge Iranian authority over a global choke point.
Just after the birth of the United States of America in 1776, Jefferson, who owned a Koran and studied it, was sure to include “Mahometans” (Muslims) in his vision for religious liberty in the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom (1786), because he felt that they should not be denied civil rights in the new nation. About the same time, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams wrote a letter to Congress in 1786 that expressed their naïve astonishment at their interactions with a Muslim diplomat from Tripoli and their first encounter with Islamic Jihad:“The Ambassador (of Tripoli) answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their profit, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, & to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every musselman [Muslim] who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise—… [the ambassador] verily believed the Devil assisted his Countrymen, for they were almost always successful…”Not surprisingly, America's first major international conflict arose between the early United States and Tripoli (with other Islamic entities – Algiers, Tunis, and Morocco) — the First Barbary War (1801–1805). The semi-autonomous states under the Ottoman (Muslim) Empire joined in the naval and land war against America. The provocation initialized in 1801, when the Pasha of Tripoli, Yusuf Karamanli, declared war on the United States, forcing America into its first foreign battle that necessitated building the US Navy to avoid paying tribute to their adversaries. [History is repeating itself – the Iranian jihadists are forcing countries to pay tribute, in the form of tolls to cross the Strait of Hormuz_
Historically, the United States' capture of Derna, Libya marked the first time the American flag was raised in victory on foreign soil, an event memorialized in the Marine Corps Hymn as the “shores of Tripoli.” In the Second Barbary War (1815), or U.S.–Algerian War, the U.S. Navy defeated Algiers, effectively ending the practice of paying tribute to the Ottoman states. This is what we want to pray for – an end to the paying of tribute/tolls to Islam, and a victory over the demonic spirits that are waging war against other nations.
Prayer:
Lord, as you have commissioned your Ekklesia in 2 Corinthians 10:1-5, we take up our spiritual weapons to actively engage with the powers of darkness and the strongholds in our nation, especially the tap root of Islam. Our weapons have divine power to demolish these strongholds: the arguments for the continuation and persistence of Islam in our nation and its attacks against our national identity and security, and the pretensions that have boasted against the knowledge of You, the one true God – Jesus the Messiah – the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We take captive every thought that has been embedded in the world psyche, in the psyche of this generation and bind it under the Supreme authority of Christ. We bring judgment upon “whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God”: these false ideologies, this false religion, this false law, and these false spirits that empower them in the name of Jesus (1 Tim. 1:11). We release the Light of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God all over this nation, as Your Word says – “all the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab. 2:12). Through Your anointing, we destroy the heavy, enslaving, religious yoke of Islam (Is. 10:27). We invite every Muslim into an encounter with the Light of Jesus and into submission to Your yoke, which is easy and your burden which is light (Matt. 11:30). We uproot Muhammad’s influence, all the way back to its source in AD 610 and in America in 1527. We condemn and rebuke the influence of the false Sharia law in our land that began in 1829. We pray for military and economic victory over the Barbaric and unjust actions of the IRGC and every jihadist that is currently trying to exploit the world through tolls in the Strait of Hormuz.We invoke the holy name of Jesus, the true law of Moses, the whole counsel of God (Acts 20:27), the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the divine order and institutions that you have put in our nation to uphold and preserve it and to make us again a Godly nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the advancement of the Gospel of the Kingdom in all nations – one nation, under God – under Jesus Christ, who is King over all. His Word stands above all culture, ideology, and power. His Kingdom is righteous, just, and unshakable. Not for coexistence with darkness, but for the victory of Light.
PRAY TO END INTERNATIONAL LEGAL PRESSURE ON ISRAEL
ICC • UN • GLOBAL BODIES
Context
Israel is currently facing increasing legal and diplomatic pressure through international courts and global governing bodies. This includes actions and investigations connected to institutions such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), along with ongoing resolutions and debates within the United Nations (UN) and related agencies.
These efforts are being driven by a combination of member states, advocacy groups, and international coalitions seeking to influence legal standing, accountability, and global perception regarding Israel’s actions. In the current climate, especially in light of ongoing conflict and security responses, these pressures have intensified. Legal proceedings, public statements, and international resolutions are shaping how Israel is viewed globally and influencing decisions that directly impact its ability to act and defend its people. These developments affect how nations respond, how alliances are formed, and how decisions are made that impact Israel’s security, legitimacy, and freedom to operate.
The Two Sides
Side 1 — Accountability Through International Law
Some nations, legal bodies, and advocacy groups argue that:
Israel’s military actions should be reviewed under international law.
Institutions like the International Criminal Court (ICC) and United Nations (UN) should ensure accountability and human rights standards.
Their position: Legal oversight is necessary to prevent abuse and uphold global standards.
Side 2 — Sovereignty & Right to Defend
Israel and its supporters argue that:
Israel has the right to defend itself against ongoing threats.
International bodies are often biased or selectively applied.
Legal pressure can limit or interfere with national security decisions.
Their position: These actions can undermine Israel’s sovereignty, security, and legitimacy.
Scripture, Declaration & Prayer
Father, we come before You according to what is written.
Your Word says in Psalm 94 that thrones of iniquity frame mischief by law, and in Isaiah 10 You declare woe unto those who decree unrighteous decrees. So we bring every international court, every governing body, and every legal system influencing Israel before You. Where there are rulings shaped outside of truth, we ask that it be exposed and overturned.
Your Word says in Psalm 33 that You bring the counsel of the nations to nothing and make the plans of the people of no effect. So we declare that every counsel, every strategy, and every coordinated effort that is not aligned with truth will be brought to nothing.
Your Word says in Isaiah 8 take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand. So we declare that what has been spoken against Israel that is not rooted in truth will not stand.
You have said in Job 5 that You disappoint the devices of the crafty so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. So we ask that every manipulative effort, every distorted legal pressure, and every unjust strategy would be stopped and brought to nothing.
And Your Word declares in Isaiah 54 that no weapon formed shall prosper and every tongue that rises in judgment shall be condemned. So we declare that every accusation, every ruling, every judgment not aligned with truth will not prevail.
Turn the hearts of those in authority. As Your Word says in Proverbs 21, the king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord.
Turn decisions.
Turn outcomes.
Turn what has already been set in motion.
As You did in the days when decrees were written against Your people and You reversed them, we ask You to do it again. Let justice be established. Let truth prevail. Let righteousness govern every ruling concerning Israel. And let every attempt to weaken, restrain, or delegitimize her through unjust legal pressure be brought to nothing.

Pray for May 1 - War Powers Deadline - Vote (in 4 days)
The May 1 date represents the 60-day deadline for President Donald Trump to end U.S. military operations against Iran without express Congressional authorization, in accordance with the War Powers Resolution of 1973.
Democrats, led by Sen. Tim Kaine, are pushing for votes to force an end to the conflict on May 1, arguing that any further action requires congressional approval.
Republican Stance: While some Republicans have suggested they will not support continuing the military action beyond the 60-day window without authorization, others expect the administration to request a 30-day extension or argue the conflict will conclude before a final vote is necessary. The debate focuses on Congress exercising its constitutional role in declaring war, while the administration has justified the strikes as operating within the 60-day window without needing new authorizationAs the deadline approaches, Trump has several options: seek congressional approval to continue the fighting, begin a withdrawal, invoke the 30-day extension clause, or adopt an expansive interpretation of his authority as commander in chief and continue the operation without approval, as presidents from both parties have done in the past.
Prayer:
Lord, we pray for wisdom and revelation over our President and all our military leaders, and our alliance with Israel. We pray for a strong military front against the Iranian threat. We ask that You would intervene and allow for complete victory over the powers of darkness and over military attacks and nations that disrupt peace in the Middle East and the world. May all who hate Israel be put to shame. We ask for you to move upon our Congressional leaders and our nation to see how important it is to maintain a strong stand against Islamic tyranny and the Iranian regime's oppressive reign. Move upon them to support Israel, across party lines, and unite our country under a clear national identity and upholding the duties of government according to the Constitution: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.”
So, we bind them to their duty to uphold the Constitution as representatives in the government of the United States and insure domestic tranquility and defense and welfare of our citizens.
Continue to preserve our alliance with Israel, and bring one other “sheep nation” as a third with us – a three-fold stand cannot be easily broken. (Eccl. 4:12)

Nevertheless, our enemies have not defeated us. We’re still here!

He is a righteous God who stood to defend us,
breaking the chains of the evil ones that bound us.
5May all who hate the Jews (who hate Israel)

PRAY FOR POLITICAL TENSIONS & PUBLIC DISCOURSE
Leadership • Messaging • National Stability
Context
Israel is currently in a season of heightened political tension, with increasingly direct and public division among its leadership. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to lead under ongoing national security pressure, while opposition leaders such as Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett are actively positioning themselves as alternative leadership voices, shaping future political direction and alliances.
There has been an increase in public messaging, media statements, and campaign-style communication—even outside of formal election cycles—reflecting deeper divisions between coalition and opposition and differing visions for national direction. These dynamics are unfolding under ongoing security pressure, increasing the weight of every decision and every word spoken.
In this environment, communication is not neutral. Words carry weight and have the power to either stabilize a nation or intensify division. These tensions directly impact national unity, public confidence, and the ability of leadership to govern with wisdom and restraint, while also shaping how Israel is perceived globally.
Scripture & Declaration & Prayer (Flow Together)
Father, we lift up the leadership and the public discourse of Israel before You.
Your Word says in Proverbs 8 that by You kings reign and leaders decree justice. So we ask that leadership would be governed by Your wisdom and not by pressure. Your Word says in Daniel 2 that You remove kings and set up kings, and You give wisdom to the wise. So we ask that wisdom would rest upon every leader, every voice, and every decision-maker in Israel.
Your Word defines wisdom in James 3—it is pure, peaceable, gentle, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. So we ask that this wisdom would govern communication, decisions, and responses. Your Word says in Proverbs 18 that death and life are in the power of the tongue. So we ask that words spoken in leadership would bring life and not division. That they would bring clarity and not confusion. That they would bring stability and not escalation.
Your Word says in Psalm 141 set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. So we ask that You would guard the mouths of those in leadership.
Restrain words that would inflame. * Release words that would stabilize.
Your Word says in Proverbs 12 that the tongue of the wise is health. So we declare that communication would bring healing to the nation, not fragmentation. Your Word says in Proverbs 11 that in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. So we ask that righteous counsel would surround leadership. Remove ungodly influence. Establish wise and discerning voices.
And Your Word says in Isaiah 32 that the work of righteousness shall be peace. So we ask that righteousness would govern leadership, and peace would be the result.
Let quietness replace chaos.
Let assurance replace instability.
Let clarity overcome confusion.
We declare that leadership in Israel will not be driven by pressure, but anchored in wisdom. That words will not divide, but will align. That communication will not fracture, but will strengthen the nation. And that Israel will stand—stable, unified, and established in truth.

Pray for the Dismantlement of Cartels & Iranian Regime/Terrorist Intersection
Mexico- one of Iran's most significant embassy; Iran's primary operational hub in the Western Hemisphere, according to intelligence analysts and former officials, such as Dr. Keith Rose,Many of us understand that the Middle East conflict and Israel's security is not one dimensional – there are many locations world-wide that terror networks utilize to build their threat against Israel. The battle field is not contained just within the Middle East. One of these is in our own backyard.We've prayed about the cartels in our state (Montana) because there has been a large influx of their activity into our 7 Native American reservations. There have been notable intercessory and prayer events this year to take back the territory that the enemy has stolen and release Native peoples into their divine destiny and calling and free them from drug and gang activity. But we know that the Cartels operate throughout the United States, entering most frequently through our Southern Border, and have very significant ties to anti-Israel terrorist organizations and regimes.The Iranian regime, primarily through the IRGC-QF and Hezbollah, utilizes Mexican cartel infrastructure to facilitate money laundering, move operatives, and coordinate assassination plots against U.S. and foreign officials. Mexico City serves as a strategic diplomatic hub where Iranian assets can blend into local communities, allegedly providing training to cartels in exchange for logistical support at the border. Consequently, U.S. security agencies remain on high alert for "special interest aliens" and state-sponsored actors attempting to exploit cartel-controlled routes to enter the United States. The connection between Iranian assets and Mexican cartels is deeply amplified by the "Bolivarian" nations—specifically Venezuela, Bolivia, and Nicaragua—which provide the sovereign infrastructure and diplomatic cover necessary for these networks to operate. These nations act as the "launchpad" for Iranian-proxy activity in the Western Hemisphere through the following channels:

Prayer:
Lord, we pray for light and exposure over all the gang and economic activity of cartels in the United States, and in our back yard – anything that threatens our national security or our foreign diplomats who need to be safe and secure within our borders, and all the plans and plots of the enemy against us and Israel. Shine light on every dark and deceptive business enterprise. We ask for a dispatch of warring angels to stand along our Southern Border and intercept every threat that tries to cross. We pray for every cartel gang member to be caught within our borders; stop every terrorist in their tracks. We pray for their black money laundering enterprise to dry up and cease, all throughout the Bolivarian nations in Central and South America. We ask for shalom over our nation and the western hemisphere. We also declare an end to the unholy alliance between IRGC, Hezbollah and the cartels and every nation that harbor, aid, or abet terrorist activity. Hold them accountable Lord:

PRAY FORT NATIONAL IDENTITY & CULTURAL ALIGNMENT
Identity • Unity • Values • Cohesion
Context
Israel is navigating deep internal tensions around national identity, values, and cultural direction. These tensions are visible in ongoing disputes over military service requirements, particularly between secular Israelis and ultra-Orthodox communities, where questions of responsibility, exemption, and national duty remain unresolved.
There are also active debates over the role of religion in public life—such as Sabbath observance, authority of religious courts, and how much biblical law should shape national policy versus secular governance. At the same time, there is increasing visibility and legal recognition of LGBTQ+ communities, honoring, acknowledging, and celebrating Pride days, including large-scale Pride events in cities like Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. These developments are celebrated by some as expressions of modern identity and civil rights, while others see them as directly conflicting with biblical standards that have historically shaped the nation.
This creates a clear and present tension between:
Biblical foundations and modern cultural expression
Religious authority and secular law
Historical identity and evolving societal values
These are not minor differences—they are foundational questions about what defines the nation, what unifies the people, and what values will guide Israel moving forward.

Scripture & Declaration & Prayer (Flow Together)
Father, we bring the identity and direction of Israel before You.
Your Word says in Ezekiel 37 that You will make them one nation in the land, and they shall be no more two nations. So we ask that You would establish unity across every division—religious and secular, cultural and societal—according to truth. Your Word says in Zechariah 8 that Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth. So we ask that truth—not culture, not pressure, not shifting values—would define identity.
Your Word says in Isaiah 5 woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness. So we ask that where lines have been blurred, You would bring clarity. Where standards have been redefined, You would reestablish truth. Where confusion has entered, You would remove it. Your Word says in Deuteronomy 30 that You have set before them life and death, blessing and cursing—therefore choose life. So we ask that choices made across leadership, law, and culture would align with life. That decisions would strengthen the nation and not divide it.
Your Word says in 1 Kings 18 how long halt ye between two opinions; if the Lord be God, follow Him. So we ask that there would be a settling in the nation. That Israel would not remain divided between competing directions, but would be anchored in truth. Your Word says in Jeremiah 24 that You will give them a heart to know You. So we ask that hearts would be turned. That understanding would come. That identity would be restored according to truth.
And Your Word says in Isaiah 60 arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. So we declare that Israel will rise in clarity. That identity will be strengthened. That unity will be established—not through compromise, but through truth.
We ask that these cultural and societal tensions would not fracture the nation, but that truth would bring alignment. That Israel would be strengthened from within. That it would stand as one—established in truth, grounded in identity, and aligned in purpose.
