Israel Prayer Update 4-21-26

Date: April 20, 2026 (Jewish Year: 5786)

  • 5786 / 2026 Prophetic Alignment: "By Divine Grace (5), the Covenant is sealed (400) and refined by Fire (300), so that the Mouth (80) may speak and Hook (6) Heaven to Earth."

  • Month of Iyar: A month of transition and connection (Exodus 13-19).

I. Revelation of the New Covenant

Focus: That the New Covenant would be fully realized among the Jewish people.

Scriptural Foundations:

  • Jeremiah 31:31-34: A "new covenant" characterized by inward obedience and direct knowledge of God.

  • Ezekiel 36:24-32: A new heart and Spirit to enable obedience.

  • Ezekiel 37:26-28: An "everlasting covenant" of peace with an eternal sanctuary.

  • Luke 22:20: “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.”

  • 2 Corinthians 3:6: Adequate servants of a new covenant of the Spirit that gives life.

  • Hebrews 12:22-24: Jesus as the mediator of a new covenant.

  • Hebrews 9:13-15 & 22-25: The blood of Christ cleansing the conscience; without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

  • Hebrews 10:16: Laws written on hearts and minds.

  • Hebrews 13:20: The blood of the eternal covenant.

II. Understanding the Times (The Month of Issachar)

Focus: Discerning the current transition and the "Amalekite spirit" in the Middle East.

Themes:

  • The Wilderness Transition: Israel is in a time of great transition (Exodus 13-19)—no longer slaves, but not yet in the Promised Land.

  • God’s Names Revealed: Jehovah Jireh (Provider), Jehovah Rapha (Healer), and Jehovah Nissi (The Lord Is My Banner).

  • The War with Amalek: The same spirit found in the Iranian regime, Gaza, and Lebanon today. The battle is the Lord’s (Exodus 17:15).

  • The Reality of Apostasy: While many tout global revival, the Bible warns of growing apostasy before Christ returns.

Geopolitical Updates:

  • Spain: Decried Israeli strikes in Lebanon; remains an outspoken critic of U.S. and Israeli military campaigns.

  • Italy: Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni suspended the automatic renewal of the defense agreement with Israel, folding under leftist pressure.

  • Zechariah 14 & Joel 3: Warning of all nations gathering against Jerusalem and the judgment of those who divide the Land.

Prayer Points:

  • Mercy over America and Europe; that eyes would be opened to the hour we live in.

  • That America would be among the "5 wise virgins" with oil in their lamps.

  • For pastors like George Whitfield to preach truth and for churches to rise against anti-Semitism.

III. Godly Government in Iran

Focus: Praying for the toppling of the theocracy and the rise of a "Cyrus" figure.

Current Iranian Leadership Council:

  • Mojtaba Khamenei (Supreme Leader)

  • President Masoud Pezeshkian

  • Chief Justice Eje'i

  • Ayatollah Alireza Arafi

Resistance & Diaspora (The Seedbed for Change):

  • The Diaspora (Jer. 49:36): ~4–6 million Iranians abroad (L.A., Toronto, Europe).

  • Masih Alinejad: Recipient of the 2026 Courage Award; calling for the indictment of the Islamic Republic.

  • Amir Hamidi: Bridge to Western policy; supporting strikes on IRGC sites to weaken the regime.

  • United Youth of Iran: Secular grassroots network using an "underground railroad" to organize for a democratic state.

  • Minority Solidarity: Kurdish, Baha’i, and Baluchi groups increasingly vocal against the regime.

Prayer Points:

  • Jeremiah 49:38-39: That God would set His throne in Elam and restore its fortunes.

  • Restoration: For the return of the exiles/diaspora and the vindication of those oppressed since 1979.

  • Protection: Strength and grace for the Ekklesia (church) in Iran.

  • 1 Timothy 2: Peace and godliness so that all may come to the knowledge of the truth.

IV. Healing the Divided Church & Nation

Focus: Overcoming offense and biblical illiteracy regarding Israel.

Themes:

  • The Divided House: Matthew 12:25 warnings. Even "non-woke" pastors with advanced degrees are struggling to provide biblical mandates for supporting Israel.

  • Biblical vs. Political: Moral and biblical issues have been wrongly reframed as purely political.

  • Galatians 5: Walking by the Spirit to avoid "biting and devouring" one another.

Prayer Points:

  • Psalm 119:165: That lovers of the Word would be free from offense.

  • That the love for brothers would be greater than the pain of offense.

  • For wisdom to communicate God's passion for the "apple of His eye."

V. The Crack in the Democrat Divide

Focus: Strengthening those who break rank to support Israel.

Context: Seven Democrat Senators recently voted against a measure to stop arms sales to Israel:

  • Richard Blumenthal (CT)

  • Chris Coons (DE)

  • Catherine Cortez Masto (NV)

  • John Fetterman (PA)

  • Kirsten Gillibrand (NY)

  • Jacky Rosen (NV)

  • Chuck Schumer (NY)

Prayer Points:

  • Isaiah 59:19: That the Spirit of the Lord would rush into this "crack" in liberal resolve.

  • Strength for these leaders to stand against authoritarian pressure and follow their consciences.

  • A rededication of the party to its divine intention and foundations.

VI. Dwelling in the House of the Lord

Focus: Finding intimacy with God amidst the "noise."

Scriptural Foundations:

  • Psalm 27:4: To behold the beauty of the Lord and inquire in His temple.

  • Psalm 84:10: One day in His courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.

  • Psalm 23:6: Dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.

  • Exodus 33:14: His presence providing rest.

Final Prayer:

  • For clean hands and pure hearts for all intercessors.

  • Romans 11:26: That all Israel will be saved as the Deliverer comes out of Zion.

  • That the veil would come down and all Israel would find rest in Yeshua (Jesus).
