We met in Treasurer Roby Smith's office for prayer. Please thank him if you see him and are able to! His office offered us a quiet, peaceful place to pray for our legislators and state government. It was a very sweet time in prayer.
State and Local
Iowa Governor's race - for a truly conservative candidate, solid thinker, and problem solver to do business on behalf of the people of Iowa, righteous in all his actions, etc., righteousness prevailing
that Iowa Senators and House reps would focus on passing bills that benefit the people of Iowa, for the next generations to be protected, righteousness restored
for the church, local and national to stand up in boldness and courage to be a voice for and into the nation in these mid-term elections
Lifewise - having an impact in Iowa - kids are testifying to families in homes about Jesus!!!
Zach Dieken in the House has a bill to abolish abortion, but he is not getting a number for it yet.
HF 2123 Samantha Fett's DEI bill
Pray for the mind of Christ to be on the legislator's lips when they are on the floor - God's discernment for them and ability to see what is spiritually behind what is coming against them, and the wisdom and clarity to respond.
Pray protection over our legislators as they go to townhalls when home. One of our legislators had to shut down a townhall because of the disorderly conduct and chaos.
Pray for favor, encouragement and protection for the legislators truly representing "we the people"
National
the state of our nation - critical juncture - wisdom, understanding and knowledge for President Trump, VP Vance, Press Secretary, Cabinet. Dutch Sheets commented that we are at a "turning point" in this nation
International
Israel
Iran
decisions being made regarding the entire Middle East
Our legislators in attendance that we were able to pray over individually were Karen and Senator Doug Campbell, Senator Guth, and Lydia representing Senator Sandy Salmon.
I have another prayer point I am seeking the Lord on and will send that separately later today or this weekend.
Next week we do not have a room. Representative Hayes informed me that there are none available. The representatives are having trouble finding rooms for their subcommittee meetings before this first funnel. I will see what I can do on Monday - please pray for God's favor for us to find a room! If we cannot find a room, we will pray in the hallway by the Secretary of State's Office on the rotunda level.
Blessings to each of you!
